Your Caseload Snapshot is on the way to your inbox.

The Caseload Snapshot is designed to help you take your literacy data and start making sense of it across your whole caseload.

Rather than trying to figure out everything about every student at once, you’ll start by looking at a few key questions:

  • Who appears to need additional support?
  • What does their reading actually look and sound like?
  • Does the difficulty seem to be related to word recognition, language comprehension, or both?
  • What should you look at next?

Over the next few days, I’ll send you a couple of short follow-up emails to walk you through how I use the Snapshot and help you feel confident moving from collecting data to actually making instructional decisions with it.

Because having the data is helpful. Knowing what to do next is what actually changes instruction.

Don’t want to wait for the email?

Want some help figuring out what comes next?

Once you start filling out the Snapshot, you may find that identifying the students who need support is actually the easy part.

The harder questions tend to come next:

What do I assess further? How do I group these students? What should I actually teach? And how do I know whether it's working?

That’s exactly the kind of work we do inside the 5CCL Learning Lab.

The Learning Lab is designed to help you move from data to instruction, so you’re not left staring at scores and trying to figure out the next step on your own.
